Who are we, and what can we offer?

The Volvo Trucks, Quality and Warranty department is a team consisting of dedicated professionals, and we are located in Gothenburg. We collaborate closely together and in these times of interesting challenges, we want to explore how we can contribute even more to the business. We want to develop how we use the warranty claim data and expand to also use other data sources, beyond our suit of tools used today.
Our aim is to serve our customers even better, and we want to earlier identify the issues they can experience, which cause breakdowns, unplanned stops and downtime for them. We want to level up the power of our data and improve the performance within the Quality and Warranty process. Also, as an effect of this, we aim to create smarter campaign selections.

In this role, you will analyze alternative analysis tools together with our stakeholders. You will be one of the key users in Volvo Trucks, supporting and coaching colleagues in your field of expertise. You will maintain and develop our current analysis environment and be part of creating the Volvo Trucks quality and warranty analytics strategy. In this role, you will work with data close to our business stakeholders to drive business value through analytics. Our data is on the new Volvo group common platform (UDP). Main tools used are Power BI and Data bricks, and our solution is using the umbrella name of QWAS. QWAS is used to create insights and identify business opportunities as well as supporting headquarters, sales areas and markets with various analyses and reports to improve performance within the Quality and Warranty area. Main responsibilities.
  • Maintain current, and develop and implement new, Quality and Warranty reports
  • Use data from different data sources such as e.g. VDA, GDS, VSR, LDA and UCHP to perform analyses and respond to requests of various complexity
  • Drive state of the art quality and warranty analysis – by analyzing breakdown and repair data
  • Develop and find new analytical methods, including machine learning and statistical approaches
  • Support our users and contribute with training and training material within our area
  • Be responsible and build a strategy for a more flexible data model for Volvo Trucks that supports quality analytics solutions for Volvo Trucks
  • Develop dashboards and tools to simplify day to day work for the campaign process
  • Take an active part of the day-to-day work and support the customer quality managers, safety investigators, campaign coordinators and warranty manager in their daily business with data
  • Be an active member and contribute to the team’s agenda
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe that you are curious and have genuine interest in Analytics, apart from that we believe that you have the following qualifications:
  • Technical university degree or equivalent knowledge based on experience
  • Experience from and strong competence in data visualization
  • Experience in analytics, warranty and/or aftermarket area, preferably also statistical method knowledge.
  • Power BI knowledge is a must and Databricks and Knime experience is a plus
  • Truck product knowledge is a plus
  • Customer oriented with social, communicative and pedagogical skills
  • Excellent in English, both verbal and written
  • Self-driven and motivation to improve and develop yourself and the area you work in
  • Excellent listener with a true interest to understand and find ways to fulfill business need
  • High level of cooperation, ability to work independently as a part of a team
  • Good at prioritizing and focus and ability to meet agreed deadlines
