We are looking for a Global Category Manager - Indirect Materials and Services to join our Strategic Global Sourcing at Atlas Copco Industrial Technique AB. You will be a key leader and a part of the sourcing management delivering best value across the indirect spend portfolio for professional services, information technologies, MRO (Maintenance, repair, and operations), marketing and more.

This position will give you great insight in our strategic global sourcing, and provide you with an international setting, extensive cross functional network, leading edge technologies and great outlooks for your future growth with us.

Your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a trusted adviser to business partners in the sourcing process, communicating strategic approach for supplier negotiations and ongoing projects.
• Partner with internal organizations to define requirements; assist with identifying vendors; lead RFx process and evaluations; provide supplier evaluation framework and make recommendations on supplier selection.
• Together with your team lead a full range of saving projects from transactional to complex, spanning all types of services.
• Coaches team in the use of sophisticated commercial models, reports and forecasts to challenge and strengthen decision making processes across the business area.
• Optimizes key relationships across the business to take full advantage of efficiencies and leverage best practice.
• Realize a yearly saving according to agreed sourcing plan and project pipeline. Ensure the TCO pipeline for next coming years.

You will report to the Head of Strategic Global Sourcing

What we expect from you
We are looking for someone with extensive experience from the manufacturing industry, or similar technical industry, with experience and understanding of category management within indirect materials and services both as a manager and sourcing professional. You also have:

• Leadership abilities, with demonstrated ability to spot and develop talent, build sourcing teams, and empower others to accomplish individual and organizational objectives.
• Deep understanding of category management development, contracting, RFX processes, negotiation for indirect material and service segments.
• You build trustful relations and partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Negotiation skills with the ability to influence strategically, solve problems using conceptual and analytical thinking and constructively work through conflict.
• English on business level, both in written and spoken form.
• A Bachelor or Master educational level, or matching experience is required.

In addition to these qualifications, we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interaction skills. You should be able to handle cross-functional interests in line with optimal solutions, always maintaining a focus on results. You are a team player, supporting your cross-functional colleagues with relevant technical competence. We value proactivity, accountability, open-mindedness, and result orientation and a sense of urgency is also necessary for success in this role.
