About the position

We are looking for a Project Officer to our client, an independent and important agency of the European Union. The position is based at the client’s office just north of Stockholm.

Your daily tasks

You will support the Respiratory Viruses and Legionella (RVL) Group, which operates within the DPR Unit. This group is responsible for a specific module of the agency’s Surveillance platform (EpiPulse), dealing with Legionnaire’s Disease and known as the Travel Associated Legionnaire’s Disease Surveillance (TALD). The anticipated go-live for TALD is foreseen in summer 2024. Users of this platform will include internal staff as well as external partners who will input data on Legionnaire’s disease.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the agency’s surveillance IT platform (EpiPulse) for Legionella surveillance activities, providing input to design, undertaking user acceptance testing, and supporting the creation of new functionalities (e.g., automated reports).
• Clean datasets and support the data migration to the TALD system, ensuring quality checks on migrated TALD data items and contributing to data cleaning tasks.
• Provide external user support for EpiPulse regarding Legionella-related surveillance activities, supporting both external and internal platform users, and contributing to the revision of internal working instructions for the system.
• Assist with presentations on the current and intended surveillance systems functionalities in user trainings or other webinars as needed.
• Participate in the weekly roster of TALD surveillance, undertaking Legionella duty roster weeks, processing and notifying TALD cases reported to the daily surveillance scheme by external users during working hours.
• Work with Legionella disease team experts in managing replies to queries, ensuring effective communication and support.

Qualifications:

• High level of service orientation; excellent customer service focus
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Preferably administrative experience in a multicultural environment
• Computer user competencies (MS Office, Excel, word, power point, Project, Teams), R Studio/R
• Good data management (i.e. data structure, data types)
• Confident in writing clear text in English for email communications and instruction guides intended for an international audience.

Contract type and hours

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2024-09-30. Start ASAP.
