The Director of People and Culture plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing our companys people strategy in the BU Materials.

Reporting directly to the BU President and dot line to the Chief People Officer, this role is responsible for fostering a culture of inclusion, engagement, and growth as well as support us building our employee experience.

As we continue to evolve, were seeking individuals who can operate effectively in a multifaceted role, balancing operational efficiency with strategic foresight. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the business, anticipating and addressing future needs as we shape our trajectory forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand current and future business requirements.
  • With the BU People team, the role will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day operational tasks efficiently, ensuring the smooth functioning of HR processes.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing insights and recommendations based on industry trends and internal data analysis.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through employee engagement initiatives and support programs.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and address key talent gaps, succession planning, and leadership development needs, fostering a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Oversee all aspects of employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, motivation, and productivity across all levels of the organization.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and policies, making recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to HR and DEI, proactively advising leadership of the BU on relevant matters.
  • Lead the talent acquisition team towards achieving recruitment goals and maintaining a robust pipeline of high-caliber candidates.
  • The role requires flexibility to travel and spend time across the different locations.

Skills & Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in HR operations, with a demonstrated ability to handle diverse tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Strategic mindset with the capacity to translate long-term objectives into actionable plans.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant HR tools and systems.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English
