SAS Onboard Team is responsible for the overall Food & Beverage experience at SAS, both Onboard and in Lounges. SAS has a commercial & customer growth ambition which we support through development of new enhanced onboard experiences.

We are therefore looking to extend our team with a Developer Food & Beverage.

The successful candidate should have deep understanding of culinary creation and development, together with a customer centric and commercial mindset.

As a Developer Food & Beverage, you are located at SAS head office in Frösundavik, Stockholm and report to Head of Food & Beverage. Duty travels as per the role requires.

As Developer Food & Beverage you will:

• Seek insights on Food & Beverage market trends, perform analyses and transform them to recommendations how to develop the culinary experience for our passengers.
• Be a culinary creator and innovator for the passenger Food and Beverage experience.
• Define and develop SAS Gastronomic guidelines. Focus on defining sustainable menus for traditional cuisine in combination with a strong focus on vegetarian and plant-based food offerings.
• Lead the definition of meal specifications, special meal strategy, adapting of local requirements and specific menu profiles, appropriate standards and associated legislation adherence.
• Work with Catering service providers to ensure SAS customer offering meets the brand and design aspiration, customer satisfaction and cost targets as well as ensuring quality standards are met and withheld.

To be successful, we believe you should have

• Minimum 5 years of work experience.
• Master or Bachelor’s Culinary Arts Degree, Culinary Science Degree, or equivalent academic discipline in the relevant field with culinary proficiency orientation.
• Knowledge of meal experience, sensory evaluations, creativity, and applied aesthetics and business economics.
• Proven understanding and knowledge of Hospitality industry.
• Ability to analyse and structure market and trend data.
• Strong power point skills to visualize insights and recommendations.
• Understanding of working in a matrixed context; strength to deal competently and professionally with strong stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written.

Preferable if you also have

• Experience from supplier management, service level agreements and commercial management.
• Good understanding working with quality management, health and safety and risk management principles and processes.
• Scandinavian language
