Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) has been making a difference in the lives of students for over 30 years. IES Helsingborg is a school for grades 4-9 with approximately 500 students and 60 staff members. We are a bilingual school following the Swedish national curriculum. The school is located in central Helsingborg.

We are now looking for a qualified English teacher for grades 4-6, starting in August 2024. The candidate must have a Swedish teaching certificate.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons

• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records

• Mentor students in one of the classes you teach

• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community

Qualifications:

• Teaching licence/registration with relevant higher education from outside of Sweden (TEFL/CELTA are not sufficient) or Swedish “lärarlegitimation”

• Proficiency in both Swedish and English

• Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset

• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students

• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
