“Hi! I am not leaving Lyko, but I am leaving my role as Sustainability Lead. I have had my dream role for five years, but as the company grows and with all the upcoming regulations, the company needs someone who can focus fully on this area. I will continue in the role Head of IR and Communications (where we are advancing in all our markets) and therefore need to recruit my replacement who can lead the sustainability work.
Within the company, we have both our own production, sourcing, and pure procurement. Most of our employees are in warehousing and retail operations, but we have also grown rapidly with office staff and sales in eight different markets. This makes the spectrum of topics broad and we have taken many strategic steps over the past few years. For example, we were the first e-retailer in Sweden to offer only fossil-free deliveries already in 2022. We have and will also invest a lot in automation technology that complements our employees both physically and digitally, often with the help of AI.

About the role
As you probably know, we have already made strides in sustainable packaging. We are proud of our decision in using 100% renewable energy, ensuring all deliveries within Sweden are fossil-free, and our commitment to safe disposal of cosmetic waste. We’ve set high standards with our Supplier Code of Conduct and continuously strive to offer products that are good for both people and the environment. You can read more about that here and in our Annual and Sustainability report. We have started to measure our CO2 impact and we have completed a materiality analysis and during the Autumn we will formulate our sustainability commitments so they can be part of our upcoming business plan.

Now, we need your expertise to elevate our efforts and help us achieve the upcoming CSRD requirements, manage our supply chain sustainably, and maintain high standards in our own brands. Your mission is to lead our efforts to enhance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. Your role is important in shaping and executing our sustainability strategy, ensuring it aligns with our long-term business goals and industry best practices. Develop and lead Lyko’s sustainability strategy. Were talking environmental, social, and economic magic.
Dive into data, analyze it, and report on our sustainability progress. Make sure were playing by the rules (CSRD and beyond).
Manage sustainability projects like a pro. From logistics and packaging to social initiatives – youll do it all, but not all at once ofc.
Work with our awesome internal teams (Own Brands, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Finance to name a few) and external partners to push sustainable practices.
Dream up and drive new solutions to sustainability challenges.
Ensure we’re not just compliant with today’s rules, but ready for tomorrow’s too.
In this role you will report to our CFO and you will in your onboarding phase be supported by Tom’s expertise and guidance. The position is based in our lovely offices at Sveavägen in Stockholm, at least 3 days a week and the other two are up to you and what the business needs, that is our hybrid way of life.

You can talk the talk and walk the walk. Engaging and inspiring stakeholders is your thing.
You are proficient in both Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
