We’re on the hunt for a Team Manager to lead our Database & Web team in the Sweco IT unit Infrastructure & Cloud. The Database & Web team is a well-established team responsible for managing SQL and Oracle databases, also operating web services with domain and certificate management.

Your future role:

As team manager for Database & Web you will have a central and important role within Sweco IT. You will be responsible for planning, finance, progress and management within the team. Examples of your main tasks:

• Support and coach your team in their daily work.
• Budgeting and resource allocation.
• Build relationships with vendors and stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Ensure databases follow best practices, maintain data consistency, reliability, and availability.
• Ensure application platform is secure and stable, close cooperation with security on best practice.
• Managing backups, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Collaborate with and support other teams in Sweco IT.
• Be member of IT Infrastructure management team.

This position will be based in Stockholm.

We are looking for someone that have:

• Relevant education college/university alternatively equivalent experience acquired from professional experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Experience of IT Infrastructure services.
• Worked and gained experience for a couple of years in a similar role.
• Understanding of the financial and technical issues in managing modern day IT operations at large corporations.
• Practical competence to support the team with daily operations.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in English.

It is advantageous if you have experience from Database operations and Web service.
