Nordic HSSE Manager

Job Description

We are now searching for a – Nordic HSSE Manager - to join the Bitumen Supply Chain Team in Stockholm.

We are seeking an experienced HSSE professional to help us improve our performance and focus on safe operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in HSSE management preferably from the chemical or oil sector.

This role serves as the primary point of contact regarding HSSE for the Bitumen Supply Chain within the Nordic Region, encompassing the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement HSSE Policies : Design, implement, and continually improve HSSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Site Inspections : Conduct regular site inspections at our customers delivery sites to identify HSSE hazards and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Risk Assessments : Conduct regular risk assessments for our operations, identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
• Training and Education : Develop and deliver HSSE training to the Supply Chain organisation, and external stakeholders for example Nynas Haulers
• Incident Investigations : Perform investigations of incidents, analyzing root causes and proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Compliance and KPI Monitoring : Monitor compliance with HSSE regulations and standards, conducting audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established protocols.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with depots, sales, customers, and the internal HSSE network to promote a good HSSE culture

You will also be an active part in the Bitumen Supply Chain Management Team which has the responsibility for Nynas depots, Bitumen supply and planning, and transportation. The role will be a mix of theoretical and practical work and with some traveling to mainly to the Nordic counties.

About you

The successful candidate has preferably an academic degree within the HSSE area or have several years’ experience in a similar role. Technical experience from a chemical or oil industry would be beneficial. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and not afraid to learn new IT systems. Moreover, the ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills and fluency in Swedish and English.

This position is based in our new head office, 26th floor (Sthlm01) in Stockholm and reports to the Bitumen Operations Director.
