Role Description The purpose of the role is to support a visible and highly proactive regional HR service to management and staff with advice, information and practical guidance on a range of generalist HR issues including employee relations and employment legislation, recruitment and selection, policy related matters, absence management, pay and benefits and contractual issues.
The role will also manage the end-to-end all people processes for assigned functional areas of the Nordic business, and will be pivotal in developing our employment brand, talent pipeline as well as taking responsibility for continuing to enhance our direct recruitment model into a business-aligned, value adding function.
You will be part of a regional team, with direct HR colleagues. Responsibilities:
  • Support with and manage any HR questions or Employee Relations cases which might arise.
  • Partner with business heads on strategic initiatives to support growth and business transformation.
  • Contribute in projects around talent planning, learning & development, reward and employee engagement in partnership with the regional HR team.
  • Manage Employee Relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and redundancy processes, providing advice and guidance to the business on all employee related matters ensuring best practice and legal compliance.
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge and awareness of new and existing employment legislation in the Nordic region.
  • Coordinate all Audit & Due Diligence activity in the local HR department & provide solutions for any issues or failings in HR processes.
  • Mobility - support Hiring and Project Managers, and employees with the relocation of new employees or current employees for projects.
  • Health and Safety - Provide support and education to Managers and staff towards a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure that payroll processes are completed accurately and effectively executed each month.
  • Ensure that all local policies are up to date and comply with both internal and external guidelines/laws.
  • Support ongoing deployment and adoption of Workday HRIS.
Education & experience required
  • Must be able to speak Swedish a/o Finnish and English to a business standard. Finnish would be an advantage.
  • HR Qualification (equivalent to CIPD)
  • Experience working in a generalist role within a fast paced environment, with a strong commercial entrepreneurial spirit. Preferably experience of working in global organizations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Swedish/ Finnish Unions and employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common sense approach.
  • Strong facilitation and consultancy skills; able to consult on a range of relatively complex people issues with a proven ability to deliver against a range of conflicting demands.
  • Able to quickly establish credibility and maintains positive & productive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Organised and proactive, with the drive to deliver results and manage self effectively.
  • High impact as a communicator - verbally, written and in meetings.
  • Personal drive and commitment to delivery of results, through others where necessary.
  • Capable of working to deadlines and adapting to changing conditions, ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented.
  • Effectively plans ahead, making sensible balanced decisions in a deadline driven environment.
  • Recruitment experience either from a Recruitment Partner (in-house model) or Agency background.
  • Market knowledge within Technology & Financial Services highly advantageous.
