Your role in financial oversight is crucial to nurturing our culture of trust and security within our company. Your work involves key interactions with our accounting firm, managing payroll, and collaborating with internal leaders including the head of people, C-level executives, and founders. Ensuring that all financial documents are submitted on time each month is vital.   • Financial oversight is the cornerstone of this role: With payroll as a pivotal element, youll be at the helm of our financial operations, managing accounts payable and receivable with a keen eye for compliance and efficiency. Your proficiency in numbers will be invaluable in budgeting, generating financial reports, and refining processes, ensuring the smooth and dependable flow of our financial activities.

  • Office management: Youll be the go-to person ensuring that everything, from the physical space to software subscriptions, runs without a hitch. Your onboarding

Joining us for this 7-month parental leave cover role, youll be warmly welcomed and supported. While were keen on seeing you take charge of your financial responsibilities swiftly, our team is here to help navigate your journey with us:

  • Your onboarding will be personally overseen by our founder, Jimmy.

  • Paul, whos currently excelling in this hybrid role and preparing for his parental leave will provide you with his insights and guidance in the beginning.

  • On the HR side, Chloe, our Head of People, will be your go-to for any queries or support.

What does your success look like during your 7-month stint with us?


Already within the first 30 days of your journey as Office & Finance Administrator at Refined, you will take full ownership of the payroll process for both Finland and Sweden, ensuring our team members are compensated accurately and punctually. Your adept handling of accounts payable and receivable tasks will keep our financial operations smooth and reliable.

A significant part of your role will involve planning for an upcoming company event in October, from managing travel bookings to securing venues and accommodations, setting the stage for a memorable experience. As the company week unfolds, your efforts will culminate in a vibrant showcase of collaboration and team spirit, bringing together our Helsinki and Malmö offices.

By the end of your seven-month stint with Refined, your contributions will hopefully have enhanced our operational excellence and workplace culture. Practicalities, benefits and salary

  • This role is a 7-month parental leave cover during August 2024–March 2025.

  • The salary in this role ranges between 38-44K SEK depending on your know-how. This role is based in our Malmö office. The rest of the team is located at our office in Helsinki, and remotely in Brazil, New York, Croatia, The Netherlands and Portugal.

  • Our work model is designed for flexibility. While our teams enjoy the freedom to work from home, we have office days, typically 2-3 times a week. This approach ensures our office isnt bustling daily, but we maintain a welcoming and warm atmosphere for anyone who chooses to come in.
