Right now our Search team is exploring the possibilities that AI brings. What can a future search experience look like? How can we help users that doesn’t know what they are is looking for? Come and put your skills to good use and help us guide millions of consumers to better decisions at Prisjakt.

Your main mission is to build an epic search experience as well as developing it hands-on. In the Search team we own the search engine of Prisjakt and we work with things ranging from backend coding to Search Relevance. As an expert in search you’ll join your peers in the Search team that is one of Prisjakt’s agile teams. At Prisjakt we work in a domain setup and live by agile principles. This means a collaboration where you work together with Product Owners, UX Designer and Architects to define the future of our search experience.

On your todo

• Modelling data to be searchable
• Ingest data to Elasticsearch
• Serve our internal clients through our Search API
• Help other teams create a great search experience
• Create and tweak queries for speed and efficiency

You have a tech-first perspective and you hopefully bring valuable experience from building data-intensive high availability solutions. Being deeply rooted in your technical competence makes you enjoy challenging yourself and others in the tech area. You have a curious mind that likes to keep up with new technologies and ways to code in order to keep driving improvements and make sure we stay on the frontlines of development.

Must haves

• Extensive knowledge of Elasticsearch/Solr or similar technologies
• Multiple years of programming experience
• Search Relevance knowledge
• Experience of data intensive solution
• An agile mindset and way of working

Bonus points

• E-commerce search experience
• Cloud experience (GCP preferably)
• TypeScript/JavaScript
• Java
• Python
• Kafka
• Flink

When: We would like you to start after the summer but we understand that you might have obligations today and those need to be handed over first.

Where: You will be located at our beautiful Malmö or Ängelholm studios.
